Advertising your Freelance Writing business

I often stress the importance of advertising your freelance writing business, always keeping your options open, and not relying on any one source of income. With the economy the way it is right now, this mindset is even more crucial to have.

Certainly joining websites where writing projects are posted and bidding regularly can keep your business alive. It is also a good idea to submit queries on a regular basis, if you are interested in print work. You should keep your eyes peeled for project work in newspaper classifieds, Monster.com, and Craigslist.com. Learning how to advertise, however, is beneficial because the clients will come to you instead of you seeking them.

There are a few different ways that you can advertise your business online and attract clients.

Article marketing, blogging, guest posting, and self-publishing online on multiple websites are all ways to gain exposure and build a web presence. I recommend taking advantages of opportunities like these. Advertising can bring work your way when you least expect it.

Here are some advertising methods from Angela Booth:

1. Free Online Classifieds

2. Paid Online Classifieds: Pay Per Click

3. Forum Advertising

4. Ezine Advertising

5. Text Link Advertising
