Ending a Client Relationship

In my freelance writing career thus far, I have found it necessary to end certain ongoing client relationships. I have done this around three times for different reasons. I didn’t always handle it the right way, especially not the first time, but I learned from that. It is important to be polite and professional, regardless of how frustrated you might be. Here are some reasons you may want to end a relationship with a client:

-too many complaints

-payment is too little or frequently delayed

-changing the direction of your business

-creative differences

-personality clashes

-to make room for better projects
